Hands of HOPE has served Rutherford county since 1993, originally founded as the Crisis Pregnancy Center, by helping women and men make decisions regarding their unplanned pregnancy. Our desire is to provide accurate information on the choices they have for this pregnancy allowing the parent(s) make the choice they feel is necessary for their situation. Our mission is to provie practical, emotional, and spiritual assistance to families or individuals facing pregnancy related issues.
"For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
Hands of Hope is a pregnancy resource center for women and men who are experiencing pregnancy and are searching for guidance, help and support. We are available to help women and men make decisions about the pregnancy providing them with information that will lead them to become fully informed about the choices they have. There are three choices to a pregnancy: carry the child to full term become parents, carry the child to full term that a family might adopt, or choose to end the pregnancy through abortion (we do not refer to an abortion agency; we go over the process of abortion and its affects on child and parent). We provide the resources to help women and men know how each choice they make effects the child the mother is carrying as well as the affect on the mother and father.
We are a non-profit organization offering all of our services free of charge. We serve all clients despite age, race, income, religious affiliation, disability, or circumstances. We rely on the support of the local Church and community in order to serve our clients. Therefore, donations are necessary for the continuation of this ministry. Support comes in many forms:
Volunteer duties include:
We feel that prayer is the most powerful tool we have to create a pathway for our Center and our clients to flourish. We have seen God do amazing things through actively being in continual prayer. Anyone is welcome to join us at the Center as we carry burdens and praise before the Throne of Grace each week.
As a non-profit, we depend upon the generosity of individuals, churches, and businesses to provide necessary funding to continue serving our community. We also accept material gifts so long as they are in new or gently used condition. Due to new federal regulations, we can no longer accept used car seats and certain other furniture items. Please call ahead before bringing these type donations.
Support may also be given through the AmazonSmile program at the following link: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/56-1758941
We will need additional volunteers to help with each of our annual fundraising events. These opportunities include:
